Singing with the Chorus provides challenge and affordable enjoyment of performance to experienced female singers. The Chorus is one of a few women’s ensembles in the area. Beyond growth in music, the Chorus is a strong network of women who care for each other and have a passion for music. Focus on excellence and music development surrounds every rehearsal.

Music
The Artistic Director selects all music and works closely with the Board of Directors to settle details of concert logistics for each season. Interesting mix, challenge, and marketability are important factors in choices made.

Chorus Membership
Interested women may sing for the Artistic Director by appointment. Membership in the Chorus and Choraliers is by Artistic Director invitation.

Chorus Dues
Members pay $35 in September and January ($70 per year). Board members provide support for members who find this payment a hardship.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held on Thursday mornings from 10AM till 12N at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4897 Longhill Road, Williamsburg with a Social 30 from 9:30-10:00AM. The Chorus follows local public school weather cancellation policies.

Fall Season begins on the Thursday after Labor Day and continues through one early-December concert performance.

Spring Season begins in January and continues through two May concert performances.

Performances and Special Appearances
The Chorus offers one early-December concert and two May concerts each year.

Throughout the year, the Chorus and Choraliers may be invited or hired to perform at public and private venues in the area. Paid performances are critical to the Chorus’ financial health. Participation in special appearances is voluntary.

Performance Attire
Concert attire and accessories for all performances are selected by the Board of Directors. Attire and earring accessories are purchased by members and the Board. Members wear their own black hose and black, black-soled shoes.
